Rise in Treatments in Beauty Salons
Women in Northern Ireland like to indulge in a variety of beauty treatments. Following a weaker performance in 2010 when only 33% of NI women visited beauty salons, latest data shows that in 2011 this proportion of women jumped to 41%. This suggests that women in NI are becoming more confident to use their purses when it comes to treating themselves.
NI women especially like to splash out on themselves when it comes to hair removal treatments. 22% of NI women visited beauty salons for such treatments compared to just 12% in GB. This is good news for salons in NI trying to tempt in beauty-conscious women as they appear a lot more willing to spend than their British counterparts. 14% also like to get manicures in salons compared to just 9% in Britain. So despite tough economic times, women in NI like to take care of themselves and go the extra mile to be treated by beauticians.
